Spotlight: Josh Noone from the Federal Crime

Submitted by jjschless on June 4th 2011

In this installment of Spotlight I have a Q & A with Josh Noone of the Federal Crime.  Check it out!

1. You have been involved with Free Staters in New Hampshire for a while now. I've seen you at Porcfest, Live Free or Die and Free Keene Fest. What are your impressions of the growth and changes you have seen within the liberty movement and specifically the activists in New Hampshire?

When I first heard about the FSP it was a real surprise to discover a lot of people with similar viewpoints on liberty. Each year the FSP and the greater community of people interested in liberty gets larger and more tighter knit. I’ve seen people come in and just go right to work for a cause they beleive in. The FSP has started something amazing. I’d love to see liberty in my liftime.

Introducing the Bands and Music Acts of Porcfest: A Minor Revolution, Geoff Useless

Submitted by jjschless on May 28th 2011

A Minor Revolution has played at the Porcupine Freedom Festival before and it is a pleasure having them back!  Geoff Useless is new to the festival and having played with A Minor Revolution before the two bands ought to put on a good show.  They share a time slot at 10:30pm on Thursday the 23rd in the Free Keene Pavilion.  What order or arrangment is left up to the bands to decide.

Spotlight: Kevin Sychta from Rebel Inc.

Submitted by jjschless on May 27th 2011

I'd like to introduce a new series of blog posts dedicated to giving you a more personal look at some of the performers playing at the 2011 Porcupine Freedom Festival in June.  This first spotlight features a Q & A I had with Guitarist Kevin Sychta from newcomers Rebel Inc slated to play at 5pm Saturday, June 25 at the Free Keene Pavilion, right after the group photo!  Check out what Kevin had to say:

1. What is your relationship to the Liberty Movement and does that follow through with Rebel Inc.?

My personal relationship with the liberty movement was my main motivation for starting rebel inc. Handing out DVD's and flyers was not as affective as picking up a microphone and a guitar and letting people hear it the hard way. Now we can still hand out information after our show, but people are more receptive after the show.

Introducing the Bands and Music Acts of Porcfest: Federal Crime, Rebel Inc.

Submitted by jjschless on May 27th 2011

Over the next few weeks I will be providing a series of blogs highlighting and introducing the bands that will be playing at the 2011 Porcupine Freedom Festival.  I am also working on interviewing some of the bands and providing you with a more personal perspective.  At the moment I simply have copy pasta from their Bio pages.

An overview of the bands starts with an old one and a new one.  Newcomers Rebel Inc. come to Porcfest after referrals from multiple liberty lovers.  They put on a supercharged show and are very excited to be a part of Porcfest.

Expanding the Possibilities

Submitted by jjschless on May 26th 2011

The 2011 Porcupine Freedom Festival has many new facets and features.  One such feature is the addition of a third stage for music and performances.

Der Schless' Magical Mystery Tour -- Site 65 in Agora Valley!

This acoustic stage is centered amongst various vendors and attractions and offers a unique location for meeting up, hanging out and listing to live music.  The stage may have a few scheduled acts as well as a few theme times scheduled throughout the day and week to encourage gatherings but is otherwise open to the public.
