History: As a child and young adult, I spent a total of 6.5 years living in Germany (two of which were in former Socialist/Communist East Germany on a mission for my church) and traveling throughout Europe. I witnessed what government oppression does to a people and began to understand the importance of freedom and the poverty that remains when there isn’t enough freedom.
. . . Today I see many needs in the world. At the top of the list, I see refugees fleeing oppressive governments, who seek a land of opportunity, many who struggle with the rising prices and reduced quality of socialized medicine, and the silencing of those who have recently lost their freedoms (like the people of Hong Kong).
Our planned Libertarian seastead would help to resolve those needs by providing land of opportunity for those fleeing oppressive governments, providing a place for the free market to thrive so that healthcare can be affordable and of higher quality, and giving people a safe place to be free.
. . . I am a software developer and a longtime Austrian economist but have spent three years studying concrete, shipbuilding, metallurgy, 3D modeling, international law, and anything that could be helpful in designing the seasteading community that I seek.

Also, featured speaker and published author, Alu Axelman, from Liberty Block will have his books for sale and we may have a canteen with “spirits” set up called, “Beacoup Điên cái đầu.” Pronounced, “boocoo dinky dow.” Endearingly and affectionately intended, it means, “a lot crazy.” This canteen is dedicated to, Michael Walsh, a friend, mentor and hero who was an active supporter of the liberty movement. May he rest in Eternal Peace. Michael died suddenly and unexpectedly of COVID-19 related issues on January 6, 2022. In memoriam, we will be selling his books, titled,”Walsh’s War – A Different Path to Vietnam.” All proceeds will go directly to his Memorial Service Funds.

Michael joined the U.S. Army at age 17 and was assigned as a paratrooper to the 101st Airborne Division. By age 18, Michael was in Vietnam in time for the Tet Offensive in 1967-68.
Michael came to feel the U.S. engagement in Vietnam lacked moral purpose and legal justification, and he refused to engage in combat. History: My family are refugees of the Vietnam conflict AKA as Vietnam WAR. We understand what it is like to be victims of the communist government. This same government used deadly force against innocent people and civilians to seize properties, private businesses and personal belongings under the guise of “the common good.” My family lost EVERYTHING: their homes, livelihoods, a peaceful way of life AND five of my very young uncles died valiantly trying to protect us and defending FREEDOM. My mother still suffers from severe PTSD because she was only eight years old when she had to flee, barefeet, into the jungle to avoid capture by the communist invaders. She had to witness her mother die in her arms during this invasion.
. . Porcfest has a profound meaning for me. I am grateful for fellowship with like-minded people and in many ways feel protected when I am surrounded by members of this amazing community. I still yearn for a sense of belonging and this is what I seek here, with YOU, the advocates of liberty, love, peace and friendships.

History: As a longtime fan of free-market capitalism, I was thrilled to see all the small businesses and popups at my first Porcfest last year. I’m joining in this year with my tasty, hearty, mostly organic sourdough!
Note: My bread is fermented with my from-scratch wild sourdough culture! It contains wheat, corn, rye, and oat flours (all organic), organic cane sugar, organic maple or date syrup, and either organic or non-organic honey, and it’s made in a shared kitchen with many other allergens. It’s filling, a little tangy, and a little sweet, with a delicious, complex flavor, soft, dense crumb, and crunchy crust. Delicious in a sandwich, as a breakfast, or as a snack, especially when you’re camping!
I will have several plain loaves ($7 / loaf, $4 / half loaf) and a few specialty loaves ($8+ / loaf, $5+ / half loaf) available. Get them while supplies last!

History: Our son created a blowgun business as a part of his 4th grade homeschool curriculum and featured it at Porcfest 2021. It was a great success and he basically sold out of all the product he made! He is returning this year with an expanded offering, a redesigned blowgun and new 3D printed darts (that he designs and prints on his computer/3D printer).
To support his efforts at becoming a young entrepreneur, my wife and I created a little side business vending Malaysian Indian food at Porcfest this year. My wife is from a family with multiple restaurants in several cities (Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Tapah) throughout Malaysia. She will be bringing her experience with Malaysian Indian food for everyone to experience. Hand made breads (chapatis), spicy curries and a house recipe chai that is ohhhhh so delicious.

History: FSP mover 2019, 2nd Porcfest, after seeing all the activity last year I decided I have to get me one of those hubs, I love the energy and the people, listening to the views of attendees and speakers, there is no comparison to any other event of its kind, Porcfest is a super charged Woodstock for the intellectuals.

History: Roger’s is a great location, but we feel Proc Fest has grown beyond the capacity of the campground’s water facilities. We wanted to improve Porc Fest, by bringing our own facilities that offer offering spacious, clean, refreshing, and hot showers.
. . . Last year we offered our showers for free as a proof of concept. Many people commented on how they enjoyed the experience, and we’re excited to expand and improve our offerings this year.
