Randy earned his MA in communication and his BS in business administration from San Diego
State University. From 2008 to 2011, he was the Director of Communication and Marketing
for the non-profit research organization MAPS, which conducts clinical research investigating
combinations of psychotherapy and novel drugs to treat conditions such as post-traumatic
stress disorder and death anxiety. From 2006 to 2008, while writing a quantitative thesis, he
taught communication courses to undergraduates at SDSU. Prior to returning to university,
from 2001 to 2004, he was the program director at the Ibogaine Association, an alternative
drug-treatment center in Mexico. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Students for
Sensible Drug Policy, an international organization advocating for drug policy reforms based
on science and compassion. Randy is thrilled to be a part of the seasteading movement and to
focus his activism toward creating innovative political systems, governments, and societies. He
is the Executive Director of the Seasteading Institute.

Bruce Fenton is the Executive Director of the Bitcoin Foundation, the largest and oldest Bitcoin
non-profit group. The Bitcoin Foundation focuses on advocacy, education, reducing regulation
and helping core development and has over 20 global chapters. Bruce is also an investor,
consultant and advisor in the Bitcoin space, founder of the Bitcoin Association and is the
organizer of the Dubai Bitcoin Conference and the Satoshi Roundtable retreat.

Bruce is a signer of the Free State Project and an active activist for freedom, free markets
and police accountability. He is a vocal critic of regulation in bitcoin and technology and a
proponent of voluntarism.

Bruce has completed over $4.5 billion in transactions and served as a consultant to large

investment funds, high net worth individuals and families. Bruce served as an advisor to one

of the world’s largest charitable organizations for Gulf engagement. Bruce travels extensively

and has lived in the US, the Middle East and Asia. He is has spoken at NH Free State Forum,

Inside Bitcoins, Coin Congress, the Isle of Man Bitcoin Conference, the Texas Bitcoin Conference,

MIT Enterprise Forum, Tony Robbins Wealth Mastery, the Global Competitiveness Forum

Saudi Arabia and other major events and has been interviewed by the Wall St. Journal, CNBC,

Investor’s Business Daily and others. 54
