Welcome to PorcFest XII!

To appreciate where we are, we must know where we came from. This festival traces its roots to a
camping event called 'Escape to New Hampshire' - now dubbed "PorcFest Zero" - which was held
right here at Roger's Campground in 2003. The event had no big-name speakers, no Agora Valley
vendors, and attendance was measured in the dozens. But, it did showcase everything New
Hampshire had to offer, and it was no doubt crucial to early signers selecting this wonderful place
as the future Free State.
Every year since, PorcFest has continued to grow. And, now, here we are - to be a part of the magic!
We're excited to be organizing this event this year, for different reasons:

Matt met Jason Sorens in 1997 when they interned together at the Cato Institute. He signed the
FSP Statement of Intent in April 2003, and finally made the move in September 2013. He joined the board
of the FSP in 2014, and is happy to find new ways to contribute to the effort.
On the other hand, Kristin is a long-time events and marketing professional with experience in
brand building, organizing a theme camp at Burning Man (where she met Matt, who fell instantly in love
with her in their first 5 minutes ), and managing over 500 volunteers at the Lightning-in-a-Bottle
Festival in California.
