Press Information

PorcFest is a private gathering held on private property at Roger’s Campground in Lancaster, New Hampshire. As a celebration of liberty and peaceful, voluntary interaction, we welcome members of the press who share a respectful approach to journalism and community engagement.

To maintain the privacy and comfort of our attendees, all press must follow a few simple but essential steps before arriving. Pre-approval is required—buying a ticket alone does not guarantee entry as press. These steps are in place to protect the rights of individuals who attend PorcFest expecting a space that honors consent, transparency, and personal boundaries.

Please read the following requirements carefully. If you’re aligned with the spirit of open dialogue and mutual respect, we look forward to hearing from you.

Press Pass Requirements
1. Pre-Approval from PorcFest
All press members must receive pre-approval from PorcFest to be admitted to the festival. Pre-approval is granted by Eric Brakey, Executive Director of the Free State Project, upon review of your application. Without pre-approval, press will not be permitted entry, regardless of ticket purchase. Please send an email to info@porcfest.com stating your name and all names of individuals planning to attend with you, affiliation/outlet, purpose of engagement and expected publication. The executive Director will review applications. You will be notified via email within 1-2 business days. If pre-approved, you will receive confirmation. Pre-approval is required for admission; do not travel to the festival without it.

2. Purchase a PorcFest Ticket
All press members must purchase a valid PorcFest ticket (Adult Ticket: $125, subject to change). Press passes do not waive ticket costs. Purchase tickets at porcfest.com/tickets. Retain your confirmation email, as physical tickets are not issued.

3. Pay Roger’s Campground Day Pass or Resort Fee
Upon arrival, press members must check in at PorcFest Registration first to obtain their wristband and press badge. They must then go to the Roger’s Campground Main Office and pay any applicable fees directly to Roger’s Campground. A $5 per day resort fee may apply for those without lodging booked through Roger’s, and the weekly parking rate is $30. After check-in, you must wait for a designated press host, who will provide a brief orientation and assist with initial navigation of the festival.

4. Prominent Display of Press Pass
Approved press members will receive a PorcFest press pass, which must be prominently displayed at all times on the festival grounds (e.g., worn on a lanyard) to identify you as press.

5. Identify as Press to Attendees
At the start of any engagement, interview, or recording with PorcFest attendees, press members must clearly identify themselves as press, stating their outlet or affiliation. This ensures transparency and respects attendee privacy. PorcFest values individual liberty. Obtain consent before recording or photographing attendees, and be mindful of sensitive discussions.

6. Return Press Pass
Press passes must be returned upon exiting the campground to the Registration Hub. Re-entry without a press pass is not permitted.

Failure to obtain pre-approval, display your press pass, identify as press, wait for your press host, or follow these guidelines may result in denial of entry, press pass revocation, and removal from the festival without refund. For press pass or application questions, email info@porcfest.com.
